Paris is Currently serving as a Lead trial attorney for the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office. His primary duties involve mentoring young trial attorneys and handling more complex or problematic cases within the Felony trial team unit. Prior to working for the DA’s office Paris operated his own criminal defense practice and represented individuals charged with serious and violent felonies. These first-hand experiences fueled his passion for educating the community about the criminal justice system. He is currently serving as a mentor/mock trial coach at Sacramento High School. Throughout is twenty year legal career Paris has served his community through organizations like the Charles Houston Bar Association in the bay area, the Sacramento Black Chamber of Commerce and Westlake Charter Elementary School, where he served on the founding board of directors and was active in every aspect of the school’s administration and operation.
Paris grew-up in Sacramento and has strong ties to the Sacramento community, having graduated from John F. Kennedy High School and CSU Sacramento before attending law school at UC Davis.
