SACRAMENTO UNIFIED EDUCATION FOUNDATION
The Sacramento Unified Educational Foundation (SUEF) is an independent, nonprofit 501c3 corporation set-up as the philanthropic fundraising auxiliary of the Sacramento Unified School District. The Foundation supports the District’s mission of teaching and learning services through the acquisition and management of gifts, grants and endowments.
Board of Directors
The Sacramento Unified Education Foundation Board of Directors supports the foundation in its efforts to secure and manage the donations from the community for the Sacramento Unified School District. Their leadership and “whatever it takes” commitment is essential in helping the District to eliminate the opportunity and academic achievement gap.
The Board meets quarterly to establish policy, develop goals and objectives, assist with long-range planning and monitor Alumni Association finances. The Board connects with prospective donors, engages the community, supports our students and highlights alumni and friends of the District, building lifelong relationships.

She has been a passionate supporter and a tireless advocate for public education for more than 15 years. Ken Henderson is CEO and Founder of Lime Works, Inc. An I.T. Management & Digital Marketing company. They provide clients with superior computer network support and effective digital marketing campaigns. This includes everything from onsite I.T support, Disaster recover and backup, antivirus and malware protection, along with website design, seo, text messaging and social media marketing.
Paris is Currently serving as a Lead trial attorney for the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office. His primary duties involve mentoring young trial attorneys and handling more complex or problematic cases within the Felony trial team unit. Prior to working for the DA’s office Paris operated his own criminal defense practice and represented individuals charged with serious and violent felonies.
Ryan Neese is an Account Manager, Schools with Delta Dental of California. He works exclusively with school districts in Northern California and is responsible for all customer results. Serving as the client’s key contact for account services. The account manager is the client’s liaison to all units of Delta Dental’s operations with access to any members of Delta Dental’s staff whose expertise may be required.
Clay Merrill is a Communications Supervisor with Moroch in Sacramento, where he leads the public relations efforts for the McDonald’s franchise owners in the Sacramento and Reno media markets. Merrill’s efforts include providing strategic planning and program implementation in both regions. Since he started working at Moroch, Merrill has collaborated with local organizations and the news media to communicate the community activities of the McDonald’s franchisees in Sacramento and Reno.
Tyrone Roderick Williams
Tyrone Roderick Williams is the Director of Development at the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (SHRA) and the Director of the Sacramento Promise Zone. His expertise is in real estate development, housing, and neighborhood transformation initiatives. Mr. Williams earned a Master of City Planning degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Prairie View A&M University.
Monique Anderson is the manager of Technology Portfolio Management within VSP Global’s IT division where she leads and manages a team of 11 program managers, project managers and business analysts. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Berkeley (GO BEARS!) in both Political Science and Rhetoric and she is a certified Scrum Master and Scaled Agile Program Consultant.
Sal is Director of Business Development for Derivi Castellanos Architects, with responsibility for the advancement of new architectural projects across the state of California. He oversees the marketing and corporate partnership program for DCA.
Laurie Hensley is a teacher in the Parent Participation Preschool program of the Adult Education department, and substitutes in preschools and elementary classes. Laurie’s relationship with SCUSD started long before: first as a student; then, as the parent of two children, a classroom volunteer, field trip coordinator, and PTA member and president at her kids’ elementary, middle, and high schools.
Matt is the Associate Director of Health Programs at Sierra Health Foundation and manages the foundation’s Youth Pathways to Health programming and grantmaking, including the Positive Youth Justice Initiative, which seeks to improve the health and social outcomes of young people in the juvenile justice system. Matt also leads the Leadership Development for Racial Equity organizational capacity building program, and manages all Boys and Young Men of Color programming.
Managing Director of Development, NCRF Holdings, Inc. A graduate of St. Mary’s College in Moraga, Steve Goodwin is the President of Township 9 and Managing Director of Development for NCRF Holdings, Inc. Steve has over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry, with expertise in project entitlements, design, planning and marketing.
